What’s your name and who the hell are you?
I go by Kasper, and I’ve been in the Hip Hop game now for 8 years. I don’t plan on stopping till I reach the top.
How did you get into Hip Hop?
I’ve always loved Hip Hop and rhyming about everything. MTV really has captured me since a child the most, seeing those videos and visualizing myself in the scene.
Who influences you musically and in life?
Life itself influences my music – What I mean is I write about what happens in my daily occurrences and try to interpret it to other people.
What do you want people to get out of your music?
I want people to listen to my CD and at the end say, “Man that boy is solid!” My goal is to capture you at the intro and capture you to listen to the entire album without boring you.
You represent Kentucky a ton in your songs and image, what’s that about?
Man, I love KY. In my hometown Henderson, (HENDO) we all bleed blue.
How did you get set up in the ATV Industry and what made you want to write a song about it?
Zac Willett got me hooked up with the ATV industry. With him being nominated rider of the year and from my home town, I figured the least I could do was show him and his buddies love by giving them Kwad Up to ryde out to.
Who is in your crew? Who does your mixing, editing, and recording?
Joe Hopper who produced top groups like the Nappy Roots and Below Zero is producing my records now out of Louisville; I roll with all those guys. Brennan Hall is my manager / financial advisor, and pretty much anyone else who is down with Kasper.
Your planning on hitting the road to some of the ATVA Nationals and Supermoto events, what do you expect from that?
I plan on branching out and capturing the eyes and ears of the ATV racing scene, meeting new people and turning them on to Kasper from Kentucky. I figured its time these guys get some live entertainment to the tracks.
Where can I get some Kasper Grip?
We will be selling CDs, T-shirts, and Merchandise as we go along to shows. You can get a hold of me at www.myspace.com/KasperfromtheK as well. We are looking forward to entertaining you and your families in 2007 Kwad Up and meet me at the track, its going down! |
