Taylor Kiser
Although the Florida GNCC is not known for its hill climbs, rocks, or creeks; this race is known as one of the toughest races on the circuit thanks to palmettos, sand, and challenging whoop sections. If not careful your hands become blistered and the heat can get the best of you. Many racers come down over the break to get some extra seat time and practice in the different terrain but for ProAm rider Taylor Kiser he knows this terrain and his training stems from the heat, sand, and exhausting whoop sections.

Nineteen year old Taylor Kiser from Alva Florida has been turning heads since his first race in the FTR series and is continuing to do so in the GNCC. Taylor speaks of his “beginning in ATV racing “When i was 11 i got an LT250r and rode recreationally for a few years. I enjoyed riding and going places with my dad. But i soon found myself looking for more of a challenge because i could dust my dad. That was when we heard about Florida trail riders. Since then i have found myself involved in the sport because of the never-ending challenge. No matter what, everyone has there day and you can't count anyone out.”
The FL series has approx 14 races a year when combing both the Hare Scrambles and Quad Scrambles. There are approximately 100-125 Quads that attend the FL races and the competition grows every year. Racers and fans alike learned that no one could take “newbie” Taylor Kiser for granted or count him out. He quickly moved forward through the classes and before anyone could think he was racing AA against the best racers Florida has to offer. What pushed him to the front? “Knowing that there is always someone faster than me out there.” And when asked where he gets his inspiration he stated “My Dad. He shows me that when you give a lot of effort you get great things in return.”
This year has proven Taylor has what it takes to get to the front. Some bad luck has plagued Taylor off and on but he keeps positive. In the opening FL GNCC this year he was moving to the front when one of his tie rod ends broke. Not the way he wanted his home state race or opener to go but he arrived in GA determined to make a stand. Make a stand he did - winning the ProAm class and finishing 8th overall. His season has continued to be up and down but he sits in 7th spot in ProAm and twentieth overall. Taylor speaks of his obstacles in GNCC racing “Finding the ability to calm down and ride smooth. Also, learning how to ride mud.”
Taylor is proof that hard work and determination can take you to the top. His training regimen shows he is pushing for continuous improvement “I go to the gym five nights a week and ride every weekend”. This can be tough for someone who works part time and attends college part time, but Taylor is handling it and keeping his priorities straight. When asked his goals in the sport of ATV Racing Taylor stated “I would like to win the Pro am class and eventually advance to the pro class”. Taylor may have a lot on his plate but he takes it in stride keeping his easy going attitude and enjoying his time at the races, meeting people and gaining friends. Taylor always has a smile and is one of the easiest racers to approach at the track, his attitude is admirable.
We asked Taylor what advice he could give to someone who is just starting to race and his answer was simple and to the point “Keep it on four wheels”. That is great advice and in closing we would like to wish Taylor good luck in his ATV career and hope to see him with a top 20 number soon!!! Taylor gets the final word “First and foremost I would like to thank my Dad, without him none of this would have ever been possible. Also I would like to thank ATV Fourplay, GT Thunder, Maxxis, Hiper, HMF, PowerMadd, Klotz, and Tag Metals.
