2007 Feb AEM Update

It’s probably some of the worst weather I have seen in the last year or at least that I paid much attention to. Weather is something that is tolerated at best. It is disgusting if you ask me. It storms in, tosses a mess at you then sits back to see what kind of headaches it can provide. It’s amazing that our lives are filled those kinds of things; bad weather, crappy relationships, fake magazine reviews & subjective data. It all disgusts me. And it’s all available around every corner.

For example; as I was making my way through the myriad of websites tonight I stumbled across information that I found amazing and at the same time hilarious. I won’t go into details and hurt the riders’ feelings, but the whole time I was reading I kept thinking ‘what a joke!’ and ‘the joker who did this is just as stupid!’ The sad facts of life are that the interviewee was trivial at best and their parents made mistakes in their past that will haunt peoples minds for years. Admission of guilt to try and rid someone’s conscience of the memory is a frivolous act. You do not gain anyone’s admiration; in fact you remind them why they despise you in the first place. Fast? Sure. Smart? Maybe. Respected? Never. You gave up that right before your child had a chance. I’m sorry, but living carelessly through your child is a sad, pitiful act.

That took me back to the whole premise behind AEM. We seek the honest work. Our loyalties have changed in the last month. With a better understanding of our placement in the media world and nearly 11,000 unique readers worldwide it has reinforced why we strive to be completely unbiased and honest with our interviewees. I and my staff are committed to our creed “Only print positive, honest information”. We have pulled four interviews thus far based on making sure that who we discuss deserves that accomplishment.

AEM receives nearly 200 emails every month from you, the reader. We have had everything from rider requests to praise to questioning whom we interview. We answer them all. And we thank everyone for taking the time to contact us. In return we really hope that you take the time to review our Partners page. Look at the names and places on that list. These are the companies, web sites and people who support AEM. They are the people who took the time to express direct and personal admiration for AEM. We are not saying their product or services are the best or only game around. But you can bet we are asking you to at least give them a look. We feel they clearly support you, and it’s time people in the sport of ATV riding support them back.

If a company you deal with is not listed, ask them why! If we list someone you question ask us why! We will tell you if there is a reason.

In order to make this sport better we need to be a family, be a partnership and be honest. Those who live behind fake lives, lies, greed and build careers off those same people are losers. Be part of the bigger picture. Be a part of what makes this family so great and so strong! Be a winner because you are one, not because you can throw a leg over your quad!

AEM will be at nearly every round of the GNCC races, six out of eight WPSA races, and an undetermined number of GNC races, local events, private riding parties and banquets this year. We have an incredible staff of writers, photographers and now a professional photo editor. Our search for a video staff is complete. And our team along with everyone listed on our Partners page is going to take the ATV riding world by storm.

Our staff is not about money, not about greed and not about self righteousness – it’s about pride and the love of riding. When you see us, come say ‘hello!’ because all we are doing is for you – the person who just read this update.

Thanks – AEM Staff
