For the record...
There is nothing more exciting than watching the Pro's prepare for a race. The pride, the confidence and the driven determination to win. It's the motivating force behind little day dreamers and adults looking for excitement in a sport they can also compete in. But let's face it you cannot pickup a magazine, periodical or industry related publication without the ads, stories and photos being vastly made up of Pro riders. But at some point even the Pro's were amateurs just trying to make the cut. That is where AEM comes in.
Our goal is the make other racers, riders, parents and vendors aware of all the talent that is out at local tracks, national races and just riding. Class, age, girl or boy it just doesn't matter. Talent starts at the lowest level. So come along and learn with us, each month we will provide new riders and industry related people that are really the ones making this the great family sport it is.
What makes the AEM team so good at what we do? We are amateurs ourselves. We have day jobs. We watch and admire the Pro's. And after all that we have or do race in the amateur ranks. It's our love for the sport and people of the sport that creates our drive to make this magazine a reality. Not money or greed. We will back vendors and even provide space for vendors to advertise. But what you will never find is product evaluations to sell their parts or even ads with pricing. We want quality vendors to be known, but they need to sell themselves we are not here to do that for them.
What you will also not find are consistent series race reports. We are not here to compete with other magazines or online venues. We want you, the readers, to have a place to go and actually learn about the amateurs whom you see in the other outlet's race reports. Consider AEM your research facility, news outlet and unconventional information pipeline.
So enjoy reading about and discovering the talented riders that are out there today. Someday they may be a Pro themselves.
