Since the beginning on AEM’s existence we have stood behind the importance of wearing protective gear. Number one on our list is a helmet. Lets face is folks, helmets save lives. Their existence and purpose serve one purpose. Failure to wear helmets is an individual failure. Most everyone has been a victim of their-self at some point. We as riders, racers and a media innovator understand that. It happens and we are all human.

However 2008 it is our goal here at AEM to encourage and press the issue of helmet safety. It has become too commonplace at large events, on private property, in movies and in photos to not wear a helmet. This is a trend that cannot be considered acceptable or become approved in the media world. This is something we all need to do to protect our own sport and our lifestyle.

Every month in 2008 AEM will be giving away a helmet. This is not as much a contest, but rather it’s a campaign. It’s a campaign to save lives and encourage awareness. With help from great vendors such as SHIFT, HMF Engineering, Plessinger Cycle, Rath Racing and others we have the first months taken care of and will continue to push this campaign forward.
